The Local Authorities Superannuation Fund (LASF) has urged its staff to embrace a radical shift in productivity and workplace culture as the institution undergoes a major transformation.

Speaking when he officiated at a Performance Management training workshop, Managing Director Mr. Milner Mooba emphasized that LASF is building a team that is creative, disciplined, and focused on delivering on the Fund’s mandate. He noted that the organization is moving forward with new professional standards, and this requires all employees to realign their attitudes in order to foster a culture of quality work.

Mr. Mooba highlighted the urgent need for a total mindset change, stressing that current performance levels must be elevated to achieve maximum efficiency. “Productivity is driven by the mind. Without a fundamental internal shift, the body cannot respond to the organization’s strategic demands,” he said.

He challenged staff to reflect on how they can improve their output to match the high-stakes nature of LASF’s national mandate, further emphasizing that the institution’s success depends on employees “walking the talk.” He urged staff to abandon complacency and embrace a mindset of duty and accountability at all times.

The Managing Director reminded employees that LASF has invested significantly in training and equipping them with the necessary skills, underscoring that the Fund values team growth as it advances towards achieving its objectives. “We will not entertain a reduction in performance. Accountability and results are now the standard,” he said, calling on staff to demonstrate their value in a competitive environment.

Concluding his remarks, Mr. Mooba reaffirmed that LASF’s survival and success depend on every employee’s commitment to excellence and alignment with the Government’s vision for public service.
