George Chileshe is new LASF Managing Director

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Local Authorities Superannuation Fund (LASF), I wish to
announce the appointment of Mr. George Chileshe as new Chief Executive Officer and Managing
Director of LASF with effect from 1 st March, 2019.
Until his appointment Mr. Chileshe was Director of Finance and Pension Administration, a portfolio
in which he has served for 12 years. Mr Chileshe has been acting as LASF Managing Director since
November, 2017.
Mr. Chileshe is a seasoned executive in the social security sector where he has been working at
senior level for over 20 years. The Board of Directors is confident that with his experience in
financial management, investments and pension administration, he will continue to add value to the
operations of the Fund and also to effectively contribute in the pension reforms.
He is a fully qualified chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified
Accountants (ACCA) of the United Kingdom and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants
(ZICA). He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Edinburg Business School, Scotland.
The Board, Management and Staff of LASF wish to welcome Mr. Chileshe to his latest challenge and
have all the confidence that he will excel and take the institution to greater heights.
